TTC Timeline

  • Feb. 2010 – Diagnosed with a dermoid cyst on right ovary
  • April 2010 – Surgery to remove right ovary and tube
  • Aug. 2012 – Let’s make a baby!
  • April 2013 – Expressed concerns to gynecologist; referred to reproductive endocrinologist
  • May 2013 – Initial diagnosis: Fibroids and hydrosalpinx of left fallopian tube; IVF only option for conception
  • July 2013 – Laparoscopic surgery to remove fibroids and tube; woke to find the tube was fine and still intact; the fluid detected on the ultrasound was a huge cyst
  • Sept. 2013 – HSG test to make sure my tube is indeed open; all clear and okay to proceed with Clomid
  • Oct. 16, 2013 – Begin first cycle with 50 mg Clomid (CD3-7)
  • Oct. 25, 2013 – Follicle check! Responded really well. Two follicles measuring 20 mm and 16 mm. In-office OPK indicates ovulation likely to occur today.
  • Nov. 8, 2013 – BFN (14DPO)
  • Nov. 12, 2013 – Still no AF; another BFN (18DPO); convinced I O’ed later than test said.
  • Nov. 15, 2013 – Round Two: 50 mg Clomid (CD4-8), HCG Trigger, and Progesterone during LP
  • Nov. 25, 2013 – Follicle check indicates only one measuring 27.5 mm. OPK again indicates O today. I call BS and am sent away with instructions to take trigger as soon as I get it.
  • Dec. 10, 2013 – BFN (13DPO) and we decide to take a cycle off from meds (but we still sorta try)
  • Jan. 9, 2014 – Unfortunately, high blood pressure forces me to sit out another cycle
