Well, we’re almost at the halfway point.
That can only mean one thing: It’s time for the all-important organ and tissue ultrasound. And, of course, hopefully find out the baby’s gender. 😀
So many people have asked if I’m excited to find out what we’re having.
Of course I am!
However, that excitement is overshadowed by my need to know everything is okay.
Are all of its organs growing and functioning as they should be?
Is its size on target for this point in the pregnancy?
Is it moving around?
You know, all of those things parents worry about.
Since this is my first pregnancy, I have no clue if I’ve felt the baby move yet. According to the research I’ve done, the quickening movements are typically felt between 18-22 weeks, but first time moms don’t necessarily feel them before that time period.
So it’s still early!
But I know I’m not alone when I say (or, in this case, type) every bit of reassurance can help.
My morning at work went by incredibly fast. Hopefully the next 1.5 hours will do the same!
